The Philippines are experiencing the recession of the United States plus the natural disaster that Typhoon Ike recently brought to some part of the U.S., the dollar rates have climbed and soon oil prices will take its toll on us. From a staggering leap from 43 to 46 pesos against the dollar and if this continue till the end of the year we might even see a big lump of 50 pesos to a dollar of even more.

If this keeps on as my opinion is stated, then probably but hope not, another conflict of interest would arise within the Philippine government and those politician would again begin to find faults within the present government . One thing is for certain there would be a change in balance between the pro and anti government.

But as I am giving my opinion on this, I can’t help but wonder, instead of arguing about this problems within the government, why can’t our political figures give way on how to be able to reduce the effect of recessions happening in the United States. Instead of bickering about the price hike, about the wage increase (which I think is better for us employees) and staging rallies or protest against the government ideals, why cant we find ways on how to counter the problems our country is facing right now?
